India vs Sri Lanka 3st T20I Betting Tips 27/02/2022

Zohaib Ahmed, Senior Author

The 3rd T20I between India and Sri Lanka will be played at Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium, Dharamsala on Feb 27 (Sunday). The match is to begin at 7pm IST.

Teams Status

India

India wrapped up the series on Saturday night by beating Sri Lanka by seven wickets, rendering tonight’s match a dead rubber.

After some reserved displays in the sweep of West Indies, India now appear to be playing more freely and are finding runs with greater liberty in this series.

In the second T20I, they did allow Sri Lankans a big total of 183 but then made up for it by chasing it down expertly in just over 17 overs.

Shreyas Iyer was the star of the show with an unbeaten 74 off just 44 balls. He was well supported by the veteran presence of Ravindra Jadeja (45* off 18).

The series is in the bag, which presents Indian management with the good dilemma of either to aim for a whitewash or experiment.

Sri Lanka

Sri Lankan batters finally delivered in the second T20I, scoring freely and posting a sizable total of 183 for 5 but then their bowlers deserted them.

Apart from Lahiru Kumara (2 for 31), everyone else looked helpless against Iyer and Jadeja as the islanders lost their second away T20I series of the year.

Earlier, Pathum Nissanka had shown why we rate him so highly with a 75 off 53 balls. His 67-run stand for the opening wicket laid the foundation of the innings, on which captain Dasun Shanaka provided fireworks with an impressive and unbeaten 47 off just 19 balls.

Tipster’s Angle

Tip: Total runs over 329.5 @ 1.84

Both the teams found runs easier to score in the last game and now that they have flexed their muscles once, there is no reason to think they wouldn’t do the same again when the match is at the same venue, if not the same strip. The odds for this play have been sourced from Parimatch.

Tip: Pathum Nissanka total runs over 19.5 @ 1.87

After failing in the series opener, Nissanka showed his game in the second T20I and redeemed himself with a 75. Nissanka has the makings of an innings anchor, which is why when he finds his form, he almost always becomes streaky and finds runs in multiple games. We expect more of the same from him in the series’ last game. The odds have been sourced from Parimatch.

Conclusion

The odds are high on Sri Lanka but we wouldn’t recommend a play on them as India still remain the far more talent side of the two.
