In the bowling department, off-spinner Sneh Rana was the pick of the bowlers and claimed 4 for 30 in her full quota of overs. Besides Rana, veteran pacer Jhulan Goswami and Pooja Vastrakar bowled well and claimed two wickets apiece.
South Africa:
With four victories out of six matches played, South Africa women have already sealed their place in the knockout stages of the competition.
For South Africa women, the pace bowling trio have done exceedingly well in this year’s competition. The trio of Ayabonga Khaka, Shabnim Ismail and Marizanne Kapp have taken close to 30 wickets between them so far in this showpiece event.
On the batting side, the onus will be on the opener Laura Wolvaardt who is the highest run-getter for the side with 353 runs at an average of 58.83, which included four half-centuries.
Besides Wolvaardt, the likes of Sune Luus, Marizanne Kapp and Chloe Tyron have chipped in with decent scores for South Africa women.
