West Indies played Bangladesh in the Test series before this series and won both the matches despite being the underdogs. In the first test of this series, West Indies started off brilliantly as they bowled out Sri Lanka for just 169 courtesy five-fer from Jason Holder. Sri Lanka played two test series against England and South Africa, which they lost 2-0 in both series. Even Sri Lanka lost both the T20I and the ODI series against West Indies. In the first test, Sri Lanka started off poorly as they were bowled out for just 169 runs. Lahiru Thirimanne was the leading scorer in the first innings as he scored 70 runs. And he has crossed the 25 run mark in two of the three innings that he has played against the West Indies. So, it is more likely that Lahiru Thirimanne will score over 25.5 runs at 1.83 odds available at the Betway sportsbook.

Kyle Mayers had a brilliant start for his test match career as he had a magnificent series against Bangladesh. In a short career span of three matches, he has scored 358 runs at an average of 71.60 including a match-winning highest score of 210* against Bangladesh in the second innings of the second test match. In the six innings that he has played so far, he has crossed the 26 run mark in four innings. In the current series against Sri Lanka, he has scored 97 runs at an average of 48.50. He crossed the 26 run mark in both the innings of the first test match. He has been in excellent touch since he started his test career and could be a good prospect for the future. So, it is very likely that Kyle Mayers will score over 26.5 runs in the first innings at 1.83 odds available at the Betway sportsbook.

Conclusion

Both the teams have something to play for here as West Indies will be looking to seal the tour with a 3-0 whitewash. While Sri Lanka will be looking to win at least one series after losing the T20I and the ODI series. By the looks of it, the second test is also likely to end in a draw.
