Sunrisers Hyderabad Form and Team News:
Sunrisers Hyderabad will enter the contest against Gujrat Titans as an underdog, largely because of their poor start to the new campaign.
In the first three matches of the IPL 2022, the side have only managed to win one and suffered two defeats in the process.
Those performances were just not good enough and the management would be hoping for a better show in the matches to come.
In their previous outing, Sunrisers managed to get the better of Chennai Super Kings by eight wickets which would bolster the confidence of the players moving forward.
Despite that win, Hyderabad still looks like a very fragile team, depending on a few individuals to get them over the line which would be a big concern for the management.
After the first three matches, no players from Sunrisers have managed to score 100 runs in the competition. Abhishek Sharma is leading the charts with 97.
The same is the story in the bowling department where only left-arm pacer Thangarasu Natarajan has managed to claim more than five wickets. He currently has six scalps to his name at an average of 16.50.
Gujrat Titans Form and Team News
Gujrat Titans will enter the contest on Monday as firm favorites, largely because of their impressive start to the 2022 campaign.
In their first season in India’s premier T20 competition, the Titans are the only unbeaten team in the tournament after managing to win all their three matches. In the previous outing, they defeated Punjab Kings by six wickets.
Those performances will be very pleasing for the management and they will be hoping to see the players continue producing similar kinds of displays in the matches to come.
In the first three outings, the Titans’ success is largely down to their bowling department where three bowlers — Mohammad Shami, Lockie Ferguson and Rashid Khan — have managed to claim five or more wickets. Shami is leading the charts with six wickets to his name at an average of 15.16.
In the batting department, Shubman Gill is by far the most in-form player in the squad as he is comfortably the franchise’s leading run-getter in the competition with 180 runs at an average of 60, which include a couple of half-centuries.
