Rajasthan Royals Form and Team News:
Rajasthan Royals will enter the contest against the Lucknow Super Giants as slight underdogs, largely because of their standing on the points table as they’ve won two matches out of the three played.
In their previous outing against the Royal Challengers Bangalore, they suffered their first defeat in the campaign by four wickets. The management would be hoping that players will bounce back and produce a positive result in the upcoming fixtures.
The Royals have one of the best squads in the competition where they’ve their basis covered. In the first three matches, their batting is in the lead compared to their bowling department where other than Yuzvendra Chahal and Trent Boult, not many have come to the party.
The right-arm leggie has claimed seven wickets at an outstanding average of just nine whereas the New Zealand’s left-arm pacer has five wickets to his name.
On the batting front, wicketkeeper-batter Jos Buttler is leading the charts after scoring 205 runs at an outstanding average of 102.50, which included a century and a half-century.
He is well-supported by West Indies’ left-handed batter Shimron Hetmyer and captain Sanju Samson who have scored 109 and 93 runs, respectively.
Lucknow Super Giants Form and Team News:
Lucknow Super Giants will enter the contest against the Rajasthan Royals as slight favorites, largely because of their recent form as they’ve won three in a row and have already registered six points after the first four matches.
Those results are much better than many would’ve anticipated from a new franchise before the start of the competition and the management would be hoping to see the player continuing their momentum in the matches to come.
Super Giants’ strength in their maiden campaign has been their strong batting where four players have already scored more than 100 runs.
Wicketkeeper-batter Quinton de Kock is leading the charts with 149 runs at an average of 37.25, which included two half-centuries.
Other than him, captain KL Rahul, all-rounder Deepak Hooda and young Ayush Badoni have scored 132, 130 and 102 runs, respectively.
In the bowling department, young pacer Avesh Khan is leading the charts with seven wickets to his name at an average of 18.14.
