Multan Sultans vs Peshawar Zalmi Betting Tips 10/02/2022

The 16th fixture of the Pakistan Super League 2022 sees Multan Sultans take on Peshawar Zalmi at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore on Feb 10 (Thursday). The match is to begin at 8pm IST.

Teams Status

Multan Sultans

It appears that Multan Sultans are on top of the world and can do no wrong. Halfway into the round-robin stage, the defending champions are unbeaten and routinely pummeling opponents like it’s nobody’s business.

Their latest prey were none other than Peshawar Zalmi whom they thrashed by 57 runs as they crossed the 200-run mark for the third time in five games.

The 222 against Zalmi were their highest score of the tournament too and once again they had to thank their openers for the solid start of 85 runs. The main man, however, was their captain fantastic Mohammad Rizwan, whose 82 off 53 balls was the highlight of the innings.

There was no Andy Flower for Multan in this game as the coach has left to tend some IPL business but it did not create any problems. The Sultans are on autopilot and cruising towards a playoff berth already.

Peshawar Zalmi

Days after getting thrashed by Multan, Peshawar Zalmi get another chance – either to avenge that loss or to dive face-first into more misery.

Peshawar’s problem in the mauling at the hands of Multan was their bowling, which conceded 22 as mentioned above.

Their ageing captain Wahab Riaz was their worst bowler as he conceded 55 runs in his four overs and went wicketless. Others fared little better before it was their batters’ turn to tank. Only Hazratullah Zazai (43) and Ben Cutting (53*) found any joy against Multan’s Imran Tahir and Shahnawaz Dahani, each of whom picked three wickets.

The good news for Peshawar is that England’s Liam Livingstone is set to join them. The bad news is that he will not be available until the Lahore leg begins on Feb 10.

Tipster’s Angle

Tip: Multan to win @ 1.74

After such a convincing win just days ago, only a radical change was needed for us to switch sides and all of a sudden back Peshawar to exact swift revenge. In the absence of any change, we don’t see any need to get off the Multan bandwagon. The odds have been sourced from Sportsbet.

Tip: Team with top bowler – Multan Sultans @ 1.77

This is also a safe bet considering that Multan leggie Imran Tahir is currently the second-highest wicket-taker in this year’s competition and pacer David Willey is fourth. Even Shanawaz Dahani, who is twelfth on the list, is fully capable of emerging as the top wicket take on any night. Therefore, this bet makes a lot of sense to us. The odds have been sourced from Sportsbet.

Conclusion

Multan Sultans have won three in a row against Peshawar Zalmi. We expect that streak to grow some more as on current form there is no stopping the reigning champs.
