Lucknow Super Giants
Lokesh Rahul will be hoping that the side can learn from their mistakes and make a strong comeback against Rajasthan Royals. In their previous outing, Lucknow Super Giants suffered a comprehensive defeat at the hands of Gujarat Titans.
Despite losing their previous game, Lucknow are currently placed at second position with 16 points to their name after 12 matches played in the competition.
The management would be hoping to see the players can deliver the goods with bat and ball and help Lucknow secure a place in the playoffs of the competition.
The Super Giants have a decent bowling unit in the IPL 2022 where pacer Avesh Khan is leading the wickets chart with 16 scalps to his name at an outstanding average of 18.25.
He is well-supported by rookie pacer, Mohsin Khan who has 10 wickets at an excellent average of 10.90 along with an excellent economy-rate of just 5.19.
In terms of the batting department, the side has been heavily relying on their top-order, especially on the likes of Quinton de Kock and Captain Lokesh Rahul.
Lokesh Rahul is currently leading run-scorer for Lucknow with 459 runs at an impressive average of 45.90 with the help of 140.36, which included two centuries and two half-centuries. On the other hand, Quinton de Kock has scored 355 runs at an average of 29.58 and with an astonishing strike-rate of 137.59.
Rajasthan Royals:
Rajasthan Royals will be coming in the match against the Lucknow Super Kings as a slight underdog, despite having 14 points after 12 matches.
The reason is their recent form where they suffered three defeats in their previous four outings. Therefore, the team management will be hoping to see the players producing a much better display in the match on Sunday.
Royals’ batting department is heavily reliant on swashbuckling opener Jos Buttler who is comfortably the leading run-scorer in the competition with 625 runs at an average of 56.82 along with a strike-rate of 149.88, which included three centuries and three half-centuries.
In terms of the bowling department, leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal is leading the bowling charts in the competition with 23 scalps to his name at an outstanding average of 14.65 along with an impressive economy-rate of 7.00.
