The 41st fixture of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 sees Kolkata Knight Riders take on Delhi Capitals at Sharjah Cricket Stadium on September 28 (Tuesday). The match is scheduled to begin at 3:30pm IST.

KKR began the UAE leg of IPL 2021 with back-to-back wins before being beaten by league leaders Chennai Super Kings on Sunday that left them stuck on eight points – a haul shared by multiple teams.

Second-placed Delhi Capitals already have a foot in the knockout stages, thanks to their win over Rajasthan Royals. No team has not made the playoffs despite amassing 16 points, which is what they have right now.

That said mathematically speaking they do have an outside chance of elimination, however unlikely that may be.

Of their last four fixtures, all they need to do is win two, which would guarantee them two shots at the final in the playoffs.

Marcus Stoinis is out injured for Delhi. Lalit Yadav filled in for him in the last game but Sam Billings’ availability might warrant a change now.
