Sri Lanka bounced back with a better performance with the bat as they put up 273 runs on the board while batting first courtesy of a spectacular batting performance by Dhanuska Gunathilaka, who scored 96 runs of just 96 balls including 10 fours and three sixes. They also got some healthy contributions from Dinesh Chandimal and Wanindu Hasaranga with 71 runs and a quick-fired 47 runs respectively. Lakshan Sandakan managed to break the 192 run stand between Lewis and Hope but was a little too late. Double scalps from Nuwan Pradeep and Thisara Perera took the match deep but couldn’t hold on. Dhanuska Gunathilaka is the team’s leading run scorer with 151 runs at an average of 75.50. Apart from him, no other batsman crossed the 100 run mark. Nuwan Pradeep, Thisara Perera and Dushmantha Chameera have picked up two wickets each. Sri Lanka also could make some changes to the playing XI and give a chance to the remaining players.

Shai Hope and Evin Lewis have been exceptional at the top of the order for West Indies in this series.
