New Zealand vs Bangladesh Betting Tips

Teams Status

After two back-to-back series losses in tests against Australia and the T20 series against India, New Zealand bounced back really well as they won the next seven series. They have won all their last five ODI matches that they have played. They had a perfect outing in the first ODI as they bowled out Bangladesh for just 131 runs courtesy of some spectacular bowling spells from Trent Boult, James Neesham and Mitchell Santner. Boult was the pick of the bowlers as he scalped four wickets for just 27 runs in nine overs. Neesham and Santner chipped in with two wickets each and were very economical as well. The New Zealand top order chased this small target in just 21 overs. Martin Guptill and Henry Nicholls gave them a blistering start as the pair scored 50 runs in just five overs. Martin Guptill scored a quickfire 38 of just 19 balls. Even Devon Conway chipped in with a valuable 27 runs. New Zealand ended up winning the first ODI by eight wickets.

Bangladesh won the last two series against West Indies and Zimbabwe. They have won four and lost one in their last five ODI matches. They have been performing brilliantly against the bottom ranked sides, but when it comes to the top teams, they struggle a lot. This was evident in the first ODI of this series as they were put to bat first by their opponents. But they struggled from ball one as the opening stand lasted for just 19 runs when the skipper was plumed in front by Trent Boult. After that, wickets started falling at regular intervals and were 72-5 in the 24th over. Then they couldn’t recover from that initial blow and were bowled out for 131 runs in 41 overs. Their bowling was pretty ordinary as well. They managed to pick up just two wickets, which wasn’t enough to restrict them to under 131. Taskin Ahmed was the pick of the bowlers as he picked up one wicket and was very economical.
