The other debutant Prasidh Krishna was exceptional with the ball as he picked up four wickets for just 54 runs. He was well supported by Shardul Thakur who picked up three important wickets. India might make a few changes to the playing XI as there might be some injury scare.

After beating India in the first Test match and the first T20 match, they finally fumbled in the ODI series. England won the toss and put India to bat first, where India put up 317 runs on the board. Ben Stokes was the pick of the bowlers as he picked up three wickets for just 34 runs in eight overs. Mark Wood also chipped in with two wickets but was a touch expensive as he conceded runs at the economy of 7.5. Apart from these two, no other bowlers were among the wickets. While chasing, the openers Jason Roy and Jonny Bairstow gave them an excellent start as they put up 135 runs for the first wicket in just 14 overs. Bairstow was the team’s leading scorer with 94 runs of just 66 balls. But no one was able to take advantage of this excellent start and they were bundled out for just 251 runs and lost the match by 66 runs. Despite the fact that they lost the match, they are more likely to stick with the same combination if Morgan and Billings are announced fit for the next match.
