Delhi Capitals:
Delhi Capitals will enter the contest on Friday as slight favorites after securing a thumping eight-wicket win against Rajasthan Royals in their previous outing.
That victory took the Capitals’ points tally in the competition to 12 after 12 matches played and the management would be hoping for the players can deliver the goods in this must-win game.
Delhi will be heavily reliant on the likes of David Warner, Mitchell Marsh and Rishabh Pant to deliver the bulk of the runs.
David Warner is leading the runs chart for the franchise in the tournament with 427 runs at an average of 61.00 along with the strike-rate of 152.50, which included five fifties.
Besides Warner, Captain Rishabh Pan has scored 294 runs at an average of 32.66 and with the strike-rate of 156.38.
Other than them, opener Prithvi Shaw has also made some significant contributions after scoring 259 runs at an average of 28.77 with two half-centuries.
In the bowling department, the side is heavily reliant on likes of Kuldeep Yadav and Khaleel Ahmed. The left-arm Chinaman is leading the charts with 18 wickets whereas the left-arm medium-pacer has 16 wickets to his name.
Punjab Kings :
In the previous fixture, the team led by Mayank Agarwal registered a dominant 54-run win against Royal Challengers. Despite winning the previous match, Punjab Kings have slim chances of qualifying for the playoffs of the competition.
In the batting department, the onus will be on the likes of Shikhar Dhawan, Liam Livingstone, Jonny Bairstow, Liam Livingstone and Mayank Agarwal to deliver the bulk of the runs.
With 402 runs in 12 outings at a strike rate of 122.93, Shikhar Dhawan is currently leading run-scorer for Punjab Kings so far this season. Besides Dhawan, Liam Livingstone has shown excellent form and scored 385 runs in 12 innings with four half-centuries to his name.
In the bowling department, Kings have looked heavily reliant on the likes of Kagiso Rabada and Rahul Chahar to deliver timely breakthroughs.
