Bangladesh women are currently lying in the bottom half of the league table after winning one from four matches played so far in the competition. They began the competition with a 32-run defeat at the hand of South Africa.
In their second match, Bangladesh suffered a comprehensive defeat against New Zealand women. Nigar Sultana and co. managed to break their losing streak with a famous win over Pakistan women. In their fourth match, Bangladesh suffered a close defeat against West Indies.
The experienced trio of Fargana Hoque, Nigar Sultana and Sharmin Akhter have put in decent scores for Bangladesh women so far in this tournament.
On the other hand, the spin trio of Salma Khatun, Nahida Akter, Fahima Khatun and have been excellent for Bangladesh women in the middle-overs of the innings so far this World Cup.
India women
The team management will be hoping that the side can bring their A-game to the table in this must-win game.
The Girls in Blue have managed to register victories over West Indies and Pakistan. Mithali Raj-led unit will be hoping to bring their two-match losing streak against Bangladesh.
For India women, the onus will be on the likes of Smriti Mandhana, Mithali Raj and Harmanpreet Kaur to deliver the bulk of the runs.
On the bowling front, Rajeshwari Gaekwad, Pooja Vastrakar and Meghna Singh have put in consistently good performances for India women so far in this Women’s World Cup.
