Australia have had an excellent start to the tournament and are placed at top spot after winning four from two so far. They began the competition with a 12 run victory arch-rivals England at Seddon Park in Hamilton.
In their second match, Australia registered a comfortable win over Pakistan to maintain their winning streak in the competition. Meg Lanning-unit continued their excellent form after registering back-to-back victories against New Zealand and West Indies.
For Australia women, Rachael Haynes has been bankable performer at the top of the innings. Besides Haynes, Meg Lanning, Ashleigh Gardner and Alyssa Healy have delivered match-winning contributions for the side.
On the other hand, the spin duo of Ashleigh Gardner and Alana King have been excellent for Australia women in the middle-overs of the innings so far this World Cup.
India women
2017 World Cup finalists will have to put in an improved performance against Australia. With two defeats out of four matches played, Mithali Raj-led unit will be hoping that the side can show some consistency with bat and ball in this high-octane clash.
The Girls in Blue kick-started their World Campaign with an emphatic win over arch-rivals Pakistan Then a dismal batting performance saw India lose to New Zealand by 62 runs. In their third game, India women delivered an excellent batting performance to register a thumping win over West Indies women. In their previous game, India put in abject batting performance to lose to England by four wickets.
